My name Is John Jesus, I am an Artist, Producer, and Teacher. Happily married, father of two, living in Portugal by the beach, and I have a professional music studio where I make my music and record/produce for other artists.
When I was about 12 years old my mother gifted me an album that would end up defining the course of my life.
That album was Babylon by Bus, by Bob Marley and the Wailers. I was hooked! I couldn't get enough of Reggae, especially Bob Marley. I bought all of his albums I could get my hands on, and from the ages of 12 till my early 20's, pretty much all I heard was Reggae, mainly Bob Marley.
In 2005 I moved to London to study music at the Academy of Contemporary music.
With Reggae being my passion, I immediately got together with other musicians to play my own Reggae songs, pursuing the dream!
I started to teach in 2008 after finishing my studies; performed all over the UK; worked in a Music Production Studio; in 2012 I release my debut album and have been putting out music ever since.
This course is my combined knowledge of the genre, from being passionate about Reggae, having played in various Reggae bands, my knowledge from music school, my experience from teaching since 2008, and over a decade of recording and producing Reggae music for myself and other artist.
My hope is that this course can help and inspire you to become a great Reggae Bass player!
You might be thinking: “Can I trust this guy to teach me Reggae?”
Thankfully I don´t need you to believe me when I say I know what I’m talking about…
Instead, you can see what other people have been saying about my teaching, you can see me play Reggae covers, and you can hear my own music.

I recorded the Riddims at my studio, using only real instruments - no loops, no samples, no VSTs.
They were specifically made for this course, to give you the full experience of what it would be like to have your own Basslines in a Studio Quality recording.
Jam along, compose your Basslines, record them, and then release the songs for the world to hear!
The Bassline can make or break a Riddim... If the drums are the backbone of the Reggae song, the Bass is the soul!
They are waiting for you to give them Life!
P.S - you will also get the isolated Drum-Tracks of each Riddim, so you can Jam along in any key, with any chord progression...
I will show you how much you'd be expected to pay if you had 1 on 1 Bass lessons with me:
The 11 hours of video are jampacked with information. As you can imagine, it took me much much longer than 11 hours to record everything... not to mention the editing process!
Also, I will be adding more videos every month and you'll get immediate access to them.
My hourly rate, teaching or studio time, is 45€
I wrote all the tabs myself.
Personally, I never use tabs or sheet music - I trust my ears and my memory. So it also took me a while to write the tabs for every song... I honestly cannot tell you the number of hours it took me, but suppose it took me 3 minutes to write the TAB for each song.
That's a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes (it took much longer than that, I guarantee you...)
Recording and composing the Riddims - and then Mixing - took long studio hours...
They aren't laptop productions, they are studio recordings, played with real instruments. I won't even try to give it a price because it would either scare you or fall short of its worth...
So, assume I would sell them at 25€ each with Licensing Rights.
